Merge, Split and Extract PDF Pages

Combine PDFs, split one into parts, pull out the pages you need or put them in a new order — free, with no sign-up, and your files stay in your browser.

Free PDF toolYour files stay on your device.

Status: choose two or more PDFs to start.

The files you choose are processed in this browser tab and are not uploaded to BabaDigit or anywhere else. To work, the page downloads the open-source pdf-lib library from the jsDelivr network the first time you add a file — that download is code only, not your files.

How to merge, split, extract or reorder PDF pages

Merge PDFs into one

  1. Choose Merge and add two or more PDFs (up to 20).
  2. Put them in order with the ↑ and ↓ buttons, or remove one with ✕.
  3. Press Merge PDFs and download merged.pdf.

Split a PDF into several files

  1. Choose Split and add one PDF.
  2. Pick every page, every N pages (for example every 2), or custom ranges such as 1-3, 4-6, 7-.
  3. Press Split PDF and download each new file.

Extract selected pages

  1. Choose Extract and add one PDF.
  2. Type the pages you want, for example 1-3, 5, 8-.
  3. Press Extract pages to get one new PDF with just those pages.

Reorder pages

  1. Choose Reorder and add one PDF.
  2. Type the new order, using every page exactly once — for example 1, 3, 2, 4-.
  3. Press Reorder pages. Use “Fill in reverse order” to flip the whole document.

Writing page numbers and ranges

Page numbers start at 1. Separate items with commas; a range uses a hyphen. Pages are used in exactly the order you type them:

You typePages used (10-page PDF)
1-31, 2, 3
1, 3, 51, 3, 5
8-8, 9, 10 (to the last page)
2-4, 12, 3, 4, 1
10-110, 9, 8 … 1 (reverse order)

Worked examples

1. One file for a contract and its annexes

You have contract.pdf (6 pages), annex-a.pdf (2 pages) and annex-b.pdf (3 pages). In Merge, add all three, check the order, and press Merge PDFs. You get one 11-page PDF: the contract first, then annex A, then annex B.

2. A year of statements in one scan

A 24-page scan holds twelve 2-page monthly statements. In Split, choose Every 2 pages. You get twelve files named scan-pages-1-2.pdf, scan-pages-3-4.pdf and so on, one per month.

3. Sending only the pages someone needs

From a 40-page report you need the summary (pages 3 to 5) and one table (page 18). In Extract, type 3-5, 18. The new PDF has 4 pages in that order.

4. Fixing a scan with pages out of order

A 10-page document was scanned with pages 2 and 3 swapped. In Reorder, type 1, 3, 2, 4-. Every page is still there, now in the right order.

How your files stay on your device

Most online PDF tools upload your document to their server, process it there and send it back. This tool works differently: the PDF library runs inside your browser, reads the files you choose from your device, and creates the new PDF in the same browser tab. Your files are not sent to BabaDigit, and we cannot see them.

  • The page downloads the open-source pdf-lib library (the actively maintained @cantoo/pdf-lib edition, MIT licence) from the jsDelivr network. It is pinned to one version and checked with an integrity hash, so the browser refuses to run it if it has been altered.
  • You can check that nothing is uploaded: after adding your first file, disconnect from the internet — merging, splitting, extracting and reordering still work.
  • The new files only exist in your browser until you download them. Closing or reloading the page discards them.

Limits and what is not kept

  • Size: up to 50 MB per file, 150 MB in total and 20 files per merge; up to 100 files from one split. Big files can be slow on older phones.
  • Password-protected or encrypted PDFs cannot be changed here. You will see a message explaining what to do instead.
  • Quality is unchanged: pages, text, images and scans are copied as they are, not re-compressed.
  • Not carried over: the bookmarks panel. Fillable form fields and links that jump to other pages may stop working, and a digital signature is no longer valid once a document is changed.
  • Damaged files that the library cannot read are rejected with a message rather than producing a broken PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?

No. The files you choose are read and combined by your own browser, in this tab, and the new PDF is created on your device. They are not sent to BabaDigit or to anyone else. The only thing the page downloads is the open-source PDF library it uses, which contains code, not your files.

Is the PDF tool free? Is there a watermark?

Yes, it is free, there is no sign-up and nothing is added to your pages — no watermark, logo or extra page.

Does merging or splitting reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Pages are copied as they are, without re-compressing text, images or scans, so they look exactly the same as in the original file.

Why does it say my PDF is password-protected?

Some PDFs are encrypted, either with a password to open them or with restrictions on editing. This tool cannot change those files. Open the PDF with its password in a PDF reader you trust, save or print a copy without protection, and use that copy — only if you have the right to do so.

How many files or pages can I use?

Up to 20 PDFs at a time for merging, up to 50 MB per file and 150 MB in total, and up to 100 output files when splitting. Very large files can be slow on older phones because everything happens on your device.

Will bookmarks, links and form fields still work?

The pages themselves are copied exactly, but the bookmarks panel is not carried over, and fillable form fields and links that jump to another page may stop working in the new file. A digital signature will no longer be valid once the document has been changed.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It works in current mobile browsers: tap the box to choose files from your phone, then tap the download button when the new PDF is ready.
