What’s included

One Word document with five ready-to-edit letters. Each letter starts on its own A4 page and includes your details, the date, the recipient’s details, a subject line, the letter body and a signature block.

  • Salary Increase Request — a respectful request for a salary review to your manager, with space for three achievements and the salary you are asking for.
  • Promotion Request — a professional request to be considered for a more senior role, with space for your responsibilities, results and qualifications.
  • Experience Certificate Request — a request to HR for a certificate confirming your job title(s), department and period of employment.
  • NOC Request — a request to HR for a No Objection Certificate for a visa, travel, studies or a similar purpose.
  • Leave Application — an application with leave type, start and end dates, number of days, return date, reason, handover/cover and an urgent contact.
  • How to Use guide — a one-page checklist on the last page. Delete it before you send.

Everything you need to change is in [square brackets], such as [Employee Full Name] and [Required Date]. Sentences that only apply in some situations start with an [Optional] tag so you can keep or remove them.

How to use it

  1. Pick your letter. Copy it into a new document, or delete the pages you do not need, including the contents page and the “LETTER X OF 5” line at the top.
  2. Replace every [placeholder]. Use Find (Ctrl + F) and search for “[” to make sure none are left. Remove any [Optional] sentence that does not apply.
  3. Match your employer’s format. Adjust the wording if your company uses its own request form, HR portal or letterhead.
  4. Check and send. Check names, job titles, employee ID and dates, review the whole letter, then send it by email or as a PDF and keep a copy.

Practical guidance for each letter

Salary increase and promotion. The wording is respectful and factual: it explains your contributions and asks for a review or consideration. Approval is always at your employer’s discretion and depends on company policy and business needs. It works best sent ahead of a planned conversation or performance review.

Experience certificate and NOC. Your letter is only the request. The certificate or NOC itself is issued by your employer, usually in its own standard format, signed or stamped by HR. If an embassy, authority, university or new employer needs specific wording, attach their requirements so HR can include them.

Leave application. Check your company’s leave procedure first: how far in advance to apply, whether approval goes through an HR system and whether a supporting document is needed. Agree your handover with a colleague before you send it.

Wording varies by employer and country. These letters suit UAE/GCC, Pakistan and other workplaces, but practices differ. Follow your company policy and any official requirements that apply to you. This pack is general guidance, not legal or HR advice.

Frequently asked questions

Is this one file or five separate files?

One Word file. All five letters are in the same .docx, each on its own A4 page, followed by a short How to Use guide. Keep the letter you need and delete the rest.

Will a salary increase or promotion request guarantee approval?

No. The letters are written to ask respectfully and present your contributions clearly, but the decision is always your employer’s and depends on company policy, budget and business needs.

My employer has its own NOC or experience certificate format. Can I still use this?

Yes. Use the letter to make the request. HR will usually issue the document itself in the company’s standard format. If an authority or new employer needs specific wording, attach it with your request.

What details does the leave application include?

Leave type, start and end dates, number of days, return date, the reason, who will cover your work and your handover, and how to reach you for urgent matters. Check your company’s leave policy before applying.

Can I send these letters by email?

Yes. Use the letter’s subject line as the email subject and paste the body into the email, or save the letter as a PDF in Word (File > Save As > PDF) and attach it.
