Profit is an opinion and cash is a fact. This template tracks the fact: every pound that comes in, every pound that goes out, and what is left in the bank at the end of each month.
The three sections follow the standard presentation — operating, investing, financing — so the statement is recognisable to anyone who has read one before. Capital spending and loan events land in the specific months they happen rather than being smeared across the year, which is what makes a cash flow useful rather than decorative.
The closing balance of each month becomes the opening balance of the next, and a check at the bottom tells you in plain English whether the year ever runs dry and where the lowest point is.
It shares its chart of accounts with the BabaDigit P&L and Balance Sheet templates.
