How the CAGR Calculator Works

Formula: CAGR (%) = ((Ending Value ÷ Beginning Value) ^ (1 ÷ Years) − 1) × 100

CAGR smooths out volatile year-to-year swings into a single average annual growth rate. In the example above, 10,000 growing to 16,105 over 5 years works out to a 10% compound annual growth rate.
