Formula: Net Profit Margin (%) = (Net Profit ÷ Revenue) × 100
Net profit is what’s left after every expense — COGS, operating costs, interest and taxes. In the example above, 30,000 in net profit on 200,000 in revenue is a 15% net profit margin.
